CLASS STRUCTURE & FORMAT
Everyone comes to Aikido at different ages and have different physical abilities. Therefore, at Aikido of Suenaka-Ha
Ashland there is no judgement of a person's phycial abilities. Sensei Roy Suenaka only wants to see a sincere
attitude and the desire to learn and grow.
We provide a safe as well as a joyous and harmonious place to practice and our instructors care about your safety and
well being as a member of our dojo.
Training at Aikido of Suenaka-Ha Ashland involves the coordination of mind, body and spirit. Our classes consist of
stretching, strengthening and flexibility as well as Ki- development excerises. These activities have the purpose of
keeping the body in the best possible condition to practice Aikido.
We also teach falling techniques because it is not only an essential part of this style of self defense, but it also
enhances your ability to properly practice Aikido techniques.
The previously stated aspects are incorporated as you learn Aikido.
The uniform that we practice in is called a Gi and can be purchased from school or the student can purchase a Gi
through other means.
